After an inordinate amount of time, I am very pleased to be able to get this invite out to you. It’s been a tough one. Visiting the Northwest of the US and Canada is the trip I have personally wanted to do for 20 years, be it privately, or with you.

US trips are relatively (and I mean relatively) easy to create, you pick an area, mark in all the parks, draw a line, or a loop that goes to the parks, go in June, and you’re done (sort of). This trip could not be done like that. There are parks that only open at certain times of year, and it isn’t June, there are parks that go to weekend operation just when other parks are opening. It was a planning headache. But here we are, a few years later, and the plans seems to work.

As getting to this area of the US is so difficult, I wanted to make sure we covered as much ground as possible, so you’ll find a nice selection of Alpine Coasters, a heritage park, fairs, and parks both big and small. Plus, there’s one day spare in Seattle to do some “touristy things”, or just rest.

The highlights of this trip for me include Playland, including the PNE Fair, Washington State Fair and Galaxyland (sadly sans Mindbender), but there’s a lot more besides.

We haven’t been to North America for many years – mainly due to the fact we’ve been visiting locations elsewhere around the world – but the trip back does seem long overdue. With so many new rides opening there since we last visited, it probably won’t be long before we head back to other areas as well.

This is a unique trip that will hopefully add a lot of interesting coasters to anyone’s coaster portfolio, which includes mine. I have never been to any of the parks we’re visiting, so am looking forward to this trip as much as anyone else I suspect. I just hope to see you there.

NOTE 1: This figure is based on 35 people going and might be subject to a slight increase or decrease depending on the final confirmed numbers going on the trip.

NOTE 2: These prices are based on the Dollar / Canadian Dollar exchange rate on 23rd March 2025. If it changes substantially before the trip, an increase to the trip price may be needed.

HOW TO APPLY
Select the correct booking option on this booking page, add to basket and then fill in all the required details and submit along with your deposit payment of £1,200 (€1,450) of the trip cost, also if you require a single room this is to be booked along with the deposit. The full balance will be required at the end of July (there is also the option to make a full payment now). Right now, we need your details, this is because we need to know how many people want to take part in the trip as soon as possible. At the deadline, we will contact you with regards if it is going ahead, and whether you have a place.

WHAT YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY
The trip cost covers hotel accommodation including breakfast, park entry, park extras including Exclusive Ride Sessions (ERS), trip badges, Tour T-shirt and coach travel.

FLIGHTS
At this time we do not have a Club flight option, but we are willing to do so depending on how many want to fly with us. It will be a return from Heathrow to Seattle, departing on the 16th, arriving back on the 31st. If you DO wish to fly with us, please let us know by the 11th April and we will have prices ready by then. Please email tripbookings@coaster.club above if you wish to fly with us. Thanks.

AGE LIMIT
Due to the intensity of the trip, we recommend that very young children should not attend. Anyone under the age of 18 will have to travel with an adult member acting as a guardian, who is responsible for the minor’s conduct throughout the trip.

NUMBER OF PLACES
There are limited places on this trip, which is expected to be very popular. We are currently planning for one coach, meaning 50 places overall, ultimately however, if the number of applicants exceeds the number of places available, then a draw will take place. The draw will take place right after the deadline, when you will be contacted. Please note that in all previous trips a draw has never had to be used and we have found ways of accommodating all members.

SHARING A ROOM
If you select to share a room, please can you email tripbookings@coaster.club to let us know if you snore and also your Date of Birth to enable us to pair you up with the appropriate person for the trip.  If you know another member who is attending and you wish to share with them please also let us know.

SINGLE ROOM SUPPLEMENT
If you require a single room, the price is listed in the “Costs” box.

PAYMENTS
You have to pay a deposit now and if you require a single room this will have to be paid now.  There is also the option of making a full payment now.  Please note that if you cancel your booking a week beyond the booking deadline you will be liable for any charges that the club will face.  The remaining balance will be due by the 25th July 2025.

DEADLINE
If we have not received your application by the 18th April 2025 you will not be able to secure a place.

VISA
You will need to check with the US and Canadian Embassies in your home country to see if you need a Visa to enter them. Those from most European countries can use a visa waver form, that can be applied for on the ESTA website.

PASSPORTS
Everyone on the trip must be in possession of a full passport that doesn’t expire until at least six months after the trip has ended.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
As always, we recommend you take out travel insurance for the whole of the trip.

TRIP INFORMATION
A WhatsApp group will be created for this trip. It is strongly advised that you join it once your place has been confirmed, as we will keep everyone informed there with trip updates over the next couple of months.

DAY-BY-DAY ATTENDIES
There will be the opportunity to just join the club on an individual day of the trip.  If you wish to do this please contact tripbookings@coaster.club sending in your details and what days you would like to request.  Someone will then be in touch with you within a couple of days.

FINAL NOTES
Currently we are unable to accept bank transfers in Euros. We are working on this, and hope to have it resolved shortly.

We must warn you that this trip is going to be intense. Therefore, please only apply if you think you can cope with the itinerary. We don’t want to sound negative, but since places are limited on the trip, we want to make sure you understand the intense pace of the trip.
