Tír na nÓg Preview
Back in 2015 a small group of Club members were among the first to experience Cú Chulainn, Ireland’s first wood coaster, at what was then known as Tayto Park. Two years later another group attended the opening of Viking Voyage, a themed Interlink Super Flume with a number of surprises hidden within the layout.
Today we’re delighted to invite our members to join the media preview of Tír na nÓg, or for those of you that don’t speak Irish, the Land of Eternal Youth. During the day you’ll have the opportunity to try two brand-new Vekoma roller coasters:
The Club will be providing a coach that will depart Dublin Airport Terminal 1 at 8:50am sharp, returning to the airport at approximately 5:45pm. We strongly recommend that you fly in no later than 8:20am. The ribbon cutting for the new area is planned for 9:45am, and for this reason the coach will not wait for your plane to arrive.
Once again, we will not wait for you if you are not at the Terminal One meeting point (next to arrivals) at 8:50am. If you miss the coach, a taxi to the park should cost between €60-70.
Suitable flights are available from many places in Europe and beyond – including Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Beijing, Bordeaux, Boston, Bristol, Chicago, Cologne, Doha, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Gdansk, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London City, London Heathrow, Malaga, Manchester, Milan, New York, Newcastle, and Toronto. There are also a number of on-site hotels at Dublin Airport for those who would prefer to travel in the night before.
Please note that the park is not open to the public for this event, and not all attractions will be open. However, the park has kindly promised to operate Cú Chulainn alongside the new land.
