Trip Transportation

Itinerary may change due to park operating hours or other factors. This guide is not a guarantee all parks listed will be visited but we will endeavour to include as many as possible.

Flights

At this time we do not have a Club flight option, but we are willing to do so depending on how many want to fly with us. It will depart from / return to London Heathrow, departing very early on the 8th April, arriving back on the 25th April. Please email tripbookings@coaster.club above if you wish to fly with us.

Travel to GUA and return travel from MEX is the responsibility of each member, unless you request assistance with a club flight from/to London Heathrow. To help you schedule, this tour begins in Guatemala City (to meet at GUA International Airport at 17:00 on Thursday 8th April 2027) and completes in Mexico City (departing from MEX International Airport late evening (after 21:00) on Saturday 24th April 2027).

Age Limit

Due to the intensity of the trip, we recommend that very young children should not attend. Anyone under the age of 18 will have to travel with an adult member acting as a guardian, who is responsible for the minor’s conduct throughout the trip. We would recommend that children should be over the age of 14, but please contact us with any questions around this.

Number of places

There are limited places on this trip. We are currently planning for two coaches, meaning 40 maximum per coach and 80 places overall. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of places available, then a draw will take place. If we receive >40 but <50 applicants, a draw will take place for seats on the one coach. The draw will take place right after the deadline, when you will be contacted to confirm your place.

Visa

You will need to check with the embassy in your home country to see if you need a Visa to enter. Please ensure to check for both Guatemala and for Mexico separately.

Passports

Everyone on the trip must be in possession of a full passport that doesn’t expire until at least six months after the trip has ended.

Travel Insurance

As always we recommend you take out travel insurance for the whole of the trip. This should also include cover for not being able to travel. Both Mexico and Guatemala suffer with sudden escalation in tensions between drug cartels, with the governments tightening security restrictions to try to control the situation. This can lead to UK FCDO changing rules regarding travel to / within the region at any time. It is critical to have International travel insurance in place as soon as you book onto this trip, and ensure robust coverage in case of last minute requirement to cancel.

Payment terms

Right now we need the deposit from you, but you can pay for the full trip now if you wish. If you only pay the deposit then there will be two more payments that will be due in early November and early January 2027. Once the booking have been closed and your place confirmed the website booking page will be amended to reflect the next payments due.

Important final notes

Due to the geography of the region, the tour will include some very long coach journeys and also an internal flight, so please take this into account when booking onto the trip as an enthusiasm (or at least a strong tolerance) of coach travel as well as coasters will be needed. In addition, all trip participants should carefully note that we will be visiting both countries in the height of their early summer and the heat could be more extreme that you are used to.

Country-by-country attendees

This tour is planned to be undertaken in full and such bookings will be taken in priority. However, we understand some members may be interested in attending only for only the Guatemala or Mexico segment. If you wish to join the tour in only one country, please send an email to tripbookings@coaster.club and we will be in touch after the deadline.
