ECC Dutch Dash 2025
Hi everyone, I'd like to invite you all to join us for a fun-filled coaster weekend in September, to the Netherlands! Our trip begins on Saturday 27th September, where we will visit Walibi Holland. At 0900, we will enjoy a pastry and hot drinks reception, before entering the park when it opens at 1000. Walibi Holland is home to 9 coasters and over 30 other attractions, including the classic Intamin megacoaster Goliath, RMC's Untamed and Europe's only RMC single-rail coasters, the twin tracks of YoY. We will have all day in the park, until the closing time of 1800. On the following day, Sunday 28th September, we move on to a park that the club has never previously visited, Wildlands Adventure Zoo. This park possesses the twin family boomerang coaster Tweestryd, as well as the Mack-built Rimula River boat ride, the Arctic 1 4-D simulator, the Serengeti Safari and over 100 animal species. We will enter this park on opening at 1000 and have free time there until park close at 1700. Those of you who saw the ACM earlier this year may recall the announcement that Walibi Holland will charge us a considerable sum for an ERS. On that basis, we would like to ask members if they would be interested in paying £50pp for an ERS on YoY. Please indicate on your booking if you are interested in doing this, if there is enough people then we will consider it. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there later this year. ECC Tamworth Tango 2025
Hi Everyone, In October the club will be visiting Drayton Manor and Statfold Country Park and you’re invited! On Saturday 18th October we’ll be spending the day at Drayton Manor! We’ll start off at 9:30am-10:00am with a 30 mins behind the scenes look at Gold Rush, the park’s newest rollercoaster, and then from 10:00am-10:30am we’ll have 30 mins exclusive ride time on Accelerator before we enjoy the rest of the day at the park. The cost for this day is £35 for members (non members are welcome). On Sunday 19th October we’ll be traversing a long 7 miles to the other side of Tamworth to visit Statfold Country Park! Late last year Dingles Fairground Museum in Devon closed for good and new homes were required for their collection of rare vintage fairground rides. Luckily, Statfold stepped in and have worked with The Fairground Heritage Trust to transfer the rides to their new “National Fairground Museum” in the Midlands. This is a great opportunity for us to support the great work that has been done to preserve these historic rides you’ll get the chance to see and ride some beautiful attractions such as the world’s only operating Moonrocket ride! For £25 we have secured unlimited rides on all of the vintage rides and a behind the scenes tour of the locomotives in the museum (as these won’t be open to the public on that day). There is also the optional extra to show off your moves in the afternoon rollerskating session at the onsite rollerskating rink for a discounted extra £5! Again Non-members are welcome to join us. Winter Warmer 25 – Tivoli Gardens
Trip dates 29-30th November 2025 Now what theme park is just amazing all year round? That’s right, Tivoli Gardens in Denmark 😊 Their winter offering has been running for years and is an amazing experience and it was thought that it was about time that we held our Winter Trip there. So we have a weekend planned to visit the park where you will get two ERSs and a two course group meal on the Saturday night. Tivoli is quite an expensive place to visit in comparison to other parks, but we have negotiated a great deal for the weekend. The cost is £175 for members and £195 for non-members. We also have a limited amount of hotel rooms available in a nearby 4 star hotel for the Saturday night (including breakfast) at a discounted rate per room as follows:- Single - £175
- Double/Twin - £195
- Family (up to 4 people) - £265
