ECC Alpine Adventure
Hello Everyone, Following a recent survey conducted by our chairman, the findings indicated that there was a need for more shorter trips—if the members want shorter trips, of course we will oblige. So here is the first offering. We’re thrilled to take you on a 5-day adventure to the DACH region, where we’ll explore parks in Austria, Switzerland (for the first time!), and even take a quick detour into Germany. Our journey kicks off in Vienna, where we’ll meet up at Prater in the afternoon at 1:30 PM for an exciting, guided tour of the park, complete with a few roller coaster rides to get the adrenaline flowing. This will be followed by free time to explore the park at your own pace before settling into the hotel. The next morning, our coach-based tour begins with a visit to the enchanting Familypark. This will be followed by an afternoon visit to the ice cream factory (Eis Greissler Manufaktur) to explore the adventure park and go on the ice time travel tour. We might even be able to sample some ice cream while we are there 😉 Day three takes us to Fantasiana—those who were on the Coaster Rhapsody trip will remember that we had a fantastic day at the park where we had one of the best ERS ever on the now-defunct “Wild Train” coaster. The park treated us like royalty, and we can expect a similar experience this time around. We are certainly in for a treat. Later in the day we shall hop over to Germany and sample the charming Freizeitpark Ruhpolding. We have visited Germany many times in the past, and every time our trip routing has eluded this park, so now I’m glad that on this trip we are rectifying this. On day four, we’ll start the day by experiencing what Freizeitpark Familienland has to offer before heading to Switzerland. It’s a long drive, so we’ll break the journey by stopping and riding some of Austria’s thrilling alpine coasters along the route. Finally, the last day sees us visit the beautiful Conny-Land with its weird and wonderful Pax coaster. We then move on to the final park of the trip, that is, Ticiland, a small family entertainment centre. The tour will conclude at Zurich Airport at 5:30 PM. The trip includes visiting some charming parks and riding some wonderful coasters. Some of the coaster highlights on this trip include Vienna Looping, the brand-new Mack Custom BigDipper, Hochschaubahn (the 1950 scenic railway), Olympia Looping (the Schwarzkopf classic), Rattenmühle (the Gerstlauer bobsled), “Helios” (the brand-new Mack Stryker coaster), and Cobra, a Pax shuttle loop. This is a coach-based trip that starts in Vienna and ends in Zurich. You will need to make your own way to Vienna and make your own arrangements back home or onwards to your next destination from Zurich Airport. If you are arriving early and require a hotel room for Friday night, please let us know as soon as possible (email tripbookings@coaster.club) and choose the options listed below in this invite, as rooms are limited. This promises to be one heck of a trip. It would be amazing if you could join us on this wonderful Alpine Adventure. See you all in Vienna…. -

ECC Dutch Dash 2025
Hi everyone, I'd like to invite you all to join us for a fun-filled coaster weekend in September, to the Netherlands! Our trip begins on Saturday 27th September, where we will visit Walibi Holland. At 0900, we will enjoy a pastry and hot drinks reception, before entering the park when it opens at 1000. Walibi Holland is home to 9 coasters and over 30 other attractions, including the classic Intamin megacoaster Goliath, RMC's Untamed and Europe's only RMC single-rail coasters, the twin tracks of YoY. We will have all day in the park, until the closing time of 1800. On the following day, Sunday 28th September, we move on to a park that the club has never previously visited, Wildlands Adventure Zoo. This park possesses the twin family boomerang coaster Tweestryd, as well as the Mack-built Rimula River boat ride, the Arctic 1 4-D simulator, the Serengeti Safari and over 100 animal species. We will enter this park on opening at 1000 and have free time there until park close at 1700. Those of you who saw the ACM earlier this year may recall the announcement that Walibi Holland will charge us a considerable sum for an ERS. On that basis, we would like to ask members if they would be interested in paying £50pp for an ERS on YoY. Please indicate on your booking if you are interested in doing this, if there is enough people then we will consider it. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there later this year. Regards, Andy -

ECC North America Adventure 7
After an inordinate amount of time, I am very pleased to be able to get this invite out to you. It’s been a tough one. Visiting the Northwest of the US and Canada is the trip I have personally wanted to do for 20 years, be it privately, or with you. US trips are relatively (and I mean relatively) easy to create, you pick an area, mark in all the parks, draw a line, or a loop that goes to the parks, go in June, and you’re done (sort of). This trip could not be done like that. There are parks that only open at certain times of year, and it isn’t June, there are parks that go to weekend operation just when other parks are opening. It was a planning headache. But here we are, a few years later, and the plans seems to work. As getting to this area of the US is so difficult, I wanted to make sure we covered as much ground as possible, so you’ll find a nice selection of Alpine Coasters, a heritage park, fairs, and parks both big and small. Plus, there’s one day spare in Seattle to do some “touristy things”, or just rest. The highlights of this trip for me include Playland, including the PNE Fair, Washington State Fair and Galaxyland (sadly sans Mindbender), but there’s a lot more besides. We haven’t been to North America for many years – mainly due to the fact we’ve been visiting locations elsewhere around the world – but the trip back does seem long overdue. With so many new rides opening there since we last visited, it probably won’t be long before we head back to other areas as well. This is a unique trip that will hopefully add a lot of interesting coasters to anyone’s coaster portfolio, which includes mine. I have never been to any of the parks we’re visiting, so am looking forward to this trip as much as anyone else I suspect. I just hope to see you there. We have moved over to the new booking system now where it is all done online, for those of you that wish to see the 'traditional' invite please click here. French Escape 2025
Hey club explorers! It’s time for our next thrilling adventure! We visit Le Pal on the Saturday 7th June, where we will embark on an exciting journey to the Scandinavian neighbourhood, where we will face the formidable Fjord Explorer. Along the way, we had the privilege of encountering various unique animal species from different countries. On Sunday 8th June we will visit Walibi Rhône Alpes, where we will be setting sail to the breath taking shores of Hawaii! Our destination is Mahuka, a place that holds the Hawaiian meaning of ‘to escape.’ We’ll venture into the abandoned temple, keeping a watchful eye out for the mischievous God of Fire. If we dare to anger him, we might find ourselves as his temple prisoners! Join us for this incredible weekend and experience two brand-new attractions from two entirely different parks. Additionally, we’ll have two special ERS events. The first one will be held at the new 2024 Fjord Explorer attraction, offering exclusive photo opportunities at unique points that are only accessible to ERS attendees. The second event will take place at the equally new 2024 attraction, Mahuka. The advertised price also include a lunch on both days :-) We can’t wait to see you all there!NOTE: Booking deadline is the 16th May 2025
